Innovative Companies Rankings Visualized
The infographic displays the 20 world’s most innovative companies. We use the Forbes rankings, “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” for 2020.
Forbes uses a method called the Innovation Premium to compile their lists. The numbers shown at the center of our diagrams indicate the Innovation Premium. And the green triangles indicate the 12-month growth rate of the share price of the company. Then the price at the end of each bar is the price of the stock.
The US Dominant, Asia on the Rise
Unsurprisingly, 15 out of 20 companies are from the United States of America. Then 3 companies are from South Korea, one from each India and Indonesia. That is to say, there is a trend where Asia is on the rise.
Techs Lead the Innovation
As expected, IT is the most innovative industry with 7 IT companies in the top 20. Interestingly, the second most innovative industry is Drugs & Biotechnology.
Other industries include Consumer Durables, Retails, Household and Media. For instance, the hot topic, Tesla, appears at 3rd in the rankings as “Consumer Durables” industry.
